Get the VUK (Volume Unique Key) of all the Blu-rays supported by DVDFab applications by turning to this lightweight, portable tool
FindVUK is a lightweight application that can be used to help computer users find the VUK of any Blu-ray that is compatible with DVDFab applications and extract it without significant efforts.
First thing first, VUK refers to the Volume Unique Key that is attributed to every Blu-ray. Some time ago, you could extract this VUK from older Blu-rays, but nowadays this VUK is encrypted and requires you to take extra steps in order to retrieve it successfully.
The only thing that's required from your side outside of using this application is identifying the VUK in order to be able to extract it with FindVUK (you can use either one of these DVDFab applications for this step: PassKey, MediaPlayer or DVDFab).
Now you need to insert a Blu-ray into your Blu-ray reader. The next steps depend on the app you're using. For MediaPlayer, just start the playback, but for the PassKey or DVDFab you'll have to wait for the analysis to be complete. Afterwards, create a memory dump, then access it with a hex editor and search for the "discid" value. A few bytes later, the VUK will be visible in the file.
The app is portable, so that you don't need to install it on your computer in order to use it. You just have to unpack the archive it comes in and launch the executable.
