Opera Software announced today the Opera Touch mobile web browser for Apple's iOS mobile platform to compete with the Safari web browser on the 2018 iPhone line-up.
Opera Touch was already available for Android users for some time now, but it finally arrived for iOS users, specifically optimized for Apple's new iPhone line-up, including the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and the upcoming iPhone XR, allowing users to use the web browser with just one hand on those big displays.
"We have designed Opera Touch to match the beauty, speed and ease of use of the new iPhone line and hope that, soon, even Apple Geniuses will put our browser in their docks. In fact, we are challenging this "allegiance" to a default browser," said Maciej Kocemba, Product Manager, Opera Touch.
A fast, light, beautiful, and featureful web browser
Opera Touch is a great web browser for mobile phones, but with the iOS launch, Opera Software made it even better for the new iPhone line-up by implementing the ability to instantly start searching the Web when launching the web browser, as well as to control the main functions with a single hand.
Opera Touch also comes with Flow, Opera's innovative feature that lets users share links, notes, images, and videos with their friends, support for accessing the most recent tabs from your desktop's Opera browser, the ability to adapt to your browsing patterns, and a built-in ad blocker with cryptojacking protection.
Opera Software hopes for more iPhone users to switch to its new Opera Touch web browser for iOS, which they can download right now for free from the App Store. Opera Touch requires at least iOS 11 and it's compatible with all iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices that support the iOS 11 mobile operating system or later.
